The Power of Paint

Like I mentioned in my previous post, 2404 Hanover was kind of like a tired 80s girl, complete with big hair and shoulder pads (in the form of dark, dramatic paint and dated finishes) of that fashion-deficient era. I knew that under it all, she had a lot of potential and found that sprucing up the outdated colors and swapping out drab furnishings and accessories for more modern ones made a huge impact.

Living Room BEFORE:

And the After:

The paint is a light taupe-grey called Bonsai, by Valspar @ Lowe's. The rug is from zgallerie.com, the orange chair is from IKEA. Subway scroll is from Art.com, sofa and chair/ottoman is from Macy's. The Mirror, fu dogs and owls are from Home Goods. The chandelier is an inexpensive version of the Moooi dandelion light found on Ebay. The prints are from etsy.com and made with fabric from IKEA, that I stapled to canvas. Pillows are from westelm.com, as well as made by my very talented friend, Melissa. Floor lamp is from westelm.com.
